Doug Gates, MD received his medical training and OB-Gyn residency at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Medical Center in Southern California. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in practice in here in Carbondale since July 1995.
His greatest professional joy has come from involving fathers and families in the delivery of their baby. He believes the bonds that tie a young family together are often greatly strengthened by a father's active involvement in the birth.
Becky Hartman, MD received her training at Wayne State University School of Medicine with a residency in OB-Gyn through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Lansing, Michigan. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She is actively involved with teaching as a clinical faculty member in the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and in the Family Medicine Residency program and lectures widely both to the community and students. She has been in practice in southern Illinois since 1984.
Matrix Walker, MD received his medical training at Finch University of Health Science/Chicago Medical School and did his residency at Cook County Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologist.
Dr. Walker comes to us from San Antonio, Texas where he had been practicing for the past four years. His special interest is in total and complete Women's Healthcare.
Kathy Osman, CNP received her training at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville Indiana. She received her Masters Degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nurses.
Kathy's focus and special interest is in woman's healthcare. She is an advocate for active listening and a holistic approach to medicine.
Terri Twenhafel CNP,RDMS received her Nurse Practitioner training at University of Wisconsin. Planned Parenthood in Milwaukee, WI. She is board certified by NCC as a Woman's Healthcare Practitioner. She is also registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OB/GYN. She is a member f the Illinois Soc of Advanced Practice Nurses, North American Menopause Society, American College of Nurse Practitioners and Assoc of Woman's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.
Terrie's focus is in caring for Women throughout their life span. She enjoys working with patients to help them work towards their best health.
